PRINT -REIMAGINED 2020
Fuji Xerox had approached world-renowned artist, Didier Mathieu on a special collaboration. They are looking at producing a book on his graffiti work and chronicle of his creative journey. Together with local Creative, Jonathan Kiat and Fuji Xerox resident artist, Alex Kwok, they created 5 parts limited edition hardcover art book printed with Fuji Xerox Irridese Printer. I was asked to brand the event and document this design collaboration.
The rationale behind the creation of this art book is meant to push the boundaries of digital printing bringing Didier’s interpretation of the world’s social and political construct to life and in prints. As part of the production process, Didier and “Kiat” collaborated closely with Fuji Xerox to bring the best out of Iridesse speciality Dry Inks Gold, Silver, White, Pink and Clear in their printing output.
Jonathan and Didier embarked on the journey to explore how much experimental print work they can explore with the printer, and share their finding on the Print Reimagined Talk.
“Works just like MSG. ”
Their research process proved that quality print can be produced, in a cost-effective and time saving through digital printing. Check out the five distinct art books below.
